How To Offend Zoe...

Zoe is pretty easily offended by things. She is not a fan of being wet so it was pretty funny when Phoenix hopped out of the river and shook all over her!

What offends your dogs?

Silhouette Sunday!

Zoe having a fantastic time running on the beach!

So this isn't my best attempt at doing a silhouette. The lighting and the wind made photography very difficult on the day we were at the beach. I think it's okay but I probably could of done better!

I hope everyone is having an awesome weekend!

Lake Sacajawea

On a dark and stormy day (yesterday), we drove through a monsoon to visit a brand new park in Longview Washington. I had been watching the weather and there was only supposed to be a 20% chance of rain and well... the weather app was wrong, so wrong! It was a nice day to start out but a dark cloud found us on the freeway. The driving conditions were scary to say the least. My husband started

When Your Sister Loves You TOO Much!

We've been working on the "hug" trick and practicing it in new places so they are able to generalize. I got this adorable photo the other day and thought the look on Phoenix's face was hilarious. She looks like she's being squeezed to death by an overzealous relative! She's actually fine, though!

The Red Nose!

The Red Nose they made me wear for the commercial was something else! LOL!

I think it's really important to be able to laugh at ourselves and this was definitely one of those moments! I look very silly but it was so fun!

The Largest Puddle!

The other day we were out at the park and the girls found the largest puddle to play in! It was almost a small pond! It's funny because both of my dogs used to avoid putting their feet in water and now they just plow right through all the puddles!

Do your dogs like playing in the water?

Commercial Shoot For Red Nose Day!

Last week we were told about an opportunity to be in a commercial by our friend Tenacious Little Terrier! I sent in a trick video to audition and I was so excited when I got the email that we were selected to attend the event! This was a shoot for Walgreens supporting Red Nose Day an organization that helps people in 3rd world countries. Unfortunately I heard about the event at the last minute

Mani/Pedi Snuggles!

Snuggles!

The girls were due for a nail trim so I figured I'd share a photo of how I do Zoe's front nails. She's been trained to do an upside down settle in my lap and I give her an empty tub of peanut butter (the safe kind with no xylitol). Then when I'm done with her front ones, I let her get up and clip the back ones while she's standing. She's really good about it and she loves getting

Earthbath Shed Control Shampoo & Conditioner Review

Hi everyone, I hope you're all having a fantastic day! Today we have a review for you on some fantastic grooming products! Both of my dogs think that baths are ridiculous and not fun so please ignore the tragic photos. Zoe is fine and not abused, I promise.

I definitely don't do stinky dogs so the girls are bathed pretty often, especially after romps at the park we go to because they get

Beauty After The Rain!

I think the sky after a good rain is one of my favorite things about Oregon. We are hoping for another day like this one in the photo above. It's been nonstop raining for too long!

How is the weather where you are?

Reward Based Dog Training Really Works!

Zoe, recalling off hunting bunnies.

We've all heard that saying "the proof is in the pudding", right? Well it's really true. It's hard to believe someone about something unless you see the thing for yourself. Reward-based training really works and here are some photos to prove it.

The first photo is of Zoe. She's recalling off hunting the rabbits in the field. When I first got this dog, she

Hazard Pay.

Phoenix thinks that sometimes she should get hazard pay when she has to pose with her sister.

"Nope, Zoe! I don't need my eyeballs! It's fine!"

Caught in the Act...

... of snuggling with a kitty! Sacrilege!

Generally Zoe does not cuddle with cats. She doesn't really like them and I'm pretty sure she thinks they are pests. (Sometimes, I would agree with that last part! LOL) Anyways, if you can't tell by the look on her face she is not that thrilled about it but what is a girl to do when the cat steals your bed?

Phoenix is actually much better with

First New Trick of 2016! Get In The Suitcase!

Happy Train Your Dog Month everyone!

This is our first brand new trick for the New Year! On Tuesday we participated in a "Flash Trick" in the "Tricks and Training" group on facebook. One of the members chose a trick or two and we had 2 hours to train it and then post a video. The tricks they chose were "Get into the Suitcase" or "burrito" (roll yourself into a blanket). I chose "get into

The Frozen Tundra!

It's been either at or below freezing for the past week or so. On New Year's Day we went for a hike and we found a giant frozen puddle! The girls were really super excited about playing and sliding around on it! It was fun for all of 5 minutes until Zoe decided she was too cold. LOL!

SNOW DAY!

We have SNOW in Portland!

I was so excited on Sunday when we woke up to snow.

It doesn't snow that often here and it usually doesn't stick.

The girls had fun playing in it for all of about 5-10 minutes!

It was too cold for posing and both dogs were ready to go back inside!

They are not loving the 25 degree weather!

Do you get snow where you are at? Do your pets

Product Testers! Sisters On Saturday

Here at ZoePhee we put products through very rigorous testing before we ever review anything. The other day we were sent a new coat from Hurtta to try out and as you can see my "Product Testing Team" is hard at work! There's never a dull moment here, that's for sure! Bitey McBitey face! Poor Phoenix.

I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!

Sneak Attack!

Someone needs to tell Phoenix that she's not that sneaky!

Pesky Balls!

This is not what you were thinking! Oh no, we are talking about chuck it balls! I'm pretty sure Zoe thinks that fetching balls is dumb. Princesses should not have to fetch anything but she does it to humor me and we did train it! Every once in a while the balls don't quite cooperate with her and I get these funny photos.

I think this one is so funny! She was really into it here!
