The Largest Puddle!

The other day we were out at the park and the girls found the largest puddle to play in! It was almost a small pond! It's funny because both of my dogs used to avoid putting their feet in water and now they just plow right through all the puddles!

Whether it's running along the river, chasing a ball or playing in the woods, Phoenix is happiest when she's running! I love photographing her when she runs. I get the best shots!
Zoe is the same way! I catch the best photos of her when she's running and free. I love these ones so much better than posed shots!

On Friday the sun finally came out and I took the girls to the park. We were running seriously low on new photos so I definitely wanted to get some and the girls got play time so it was a win-win situation. We did our thing, the girls ran around and I took photos. The Frozen Tundra!

It's been either at or below freezing for the past week or so. On New Year's Day we went for a hike and we found a giant frozen puddle! The girls were really super excited about playing and sliding around on it! It was fun for all of 5 minutes until Zoe decided she was too cold. LOL!

I love it when I'm able to capture Phoenix's true personality. She's a very happy, playful dog but she's serious about getting her photo taken so it's hard to capture her true self! These sorts of pictures end up being some of my favorites!

The past few weeks, the rain has been absolutely awful! I was so relieved when we finally caught a break! Since it wasn't pouring buckets, we decided to have a fun meet up with Mr. N from Tenacious Little Terrier out at Thousand Acres (aka The Big Park)!

Happy Fit Dog Friday, everyone!
The past couple of weeks have been sort of rough for exercise for us! The girls still get out every day for walks, despite the weather and how sick I've been but they generally prefer more running than just leash walks. Unfortunately, I have bronchitis and going out for a long time in the freezing wind has been hard for me. Breathing is hard.

Recently a friend and I were talking about how my dogs don't pant very much. It's totally true! Unless it's really hot or I've worked them really hard, they don't pant. It's very rare for me to get a tongue out photo! I actually had to hunt for this one! This was after Phoenix had been running for at least 5 miles.

We were out at Thousand Acres the other day when we happened across this young shepherd, unfortunately, I didn't get his name! Zoe really enjoyed playing with him! It's very unusual for my dogs to make friends with shepherds. Traditionally, they have not really liked any of the ones we've met. For some reason they are both really wary of dogs with ears that are all the way up and Zoe's had

I know that it's Oregon but I was spoiled a little during the dry summer we had. The girls are hating the rain so much! It does spoil our fun a lot but I know it's needed! On a chilly morning out at Thousand Acres, we ran into one of Zoe's favorite friends from our old dog park that we used to go to at our last apartment! The tri-color dog trying to catch up to the girls is Levi!
Zoe remembered Levi immediately and she was thrilled to see him! They ran around together and I had a great time catching up with his mom. Levi is a pretty nice dog, even Phoenix
